About Us

It is the goal of the Huntington Eagles Sports Club to teach each participant:  excellence in competition; good character and sportsmanship; physical, mental and spiritual discipline; fortitude.  We desire to integrate Christian values into athletic competition and teach teamwork as a valued trait in individual lives.  We intend to be consistently and forthrightly Christian in our behavior, attitudes and actions, giving the honor and glory for this program to our Lord God.

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  Isaiah 40:31 NIV

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

The HUNTINGTON EAGLES is a non-profit, Christian service organization established to serve home educating families and students in Huntington County and the surrounding area. The Board consists of volunteer Christians who desire to accomplish the following Statement of Purpose and who agree with the following Statement of Faith.

Purpose:

It is the goal of the HAHE Huntington Eagles Athletic Program to teach each participant:

* Excellence in Competition

* Good Character and Sportsmanship

* Physical, Mental and Spiritual Discipline

* Fortitude

We desire to integrate Christian values into athletic competition and teach teamwork as a valued trait in individual lives.  We also intend to be consistently and forthrightly Christian in our behavior, attitudes and actions, giving the honor and glory for this program to our Lord God.

STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We Believe:

1.     The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.  It is God’s final authority for faith and life and the basis for all absolutes.

2.     God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  Jesus Christ was God come in flesh being fully God and fully man, except without sin.

3.     Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross and His subsequent bodily resurrection provide atonement, paying the penalty for sin.

4.    Man is by nature sinful and inherently in need of salvation, which is exclusively found by faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood.   Salvation is a gift from God given freely to those who believe in His name.
