are currently plans for three divisions: Varsity, Jr. Varsity, and Jr. High.

Jr.
Varsity = players who are 16 years old & under, on 9/1/09
Jr.
High = players who are 14 years old & under, on 9/1/09
Depending
on the number of teams that sign up for each division, we plan to play the
Junior Varsity and Junior High tournament on Friday. Saturday will be the
Varsity tournament.

Fee: $150 per team, per level, due September 10th, 2009. Please make checks to: Huntington

Eligible
Teams: Teams consisting of home-schooled students from the state of
Indiana.
Format:
DEPENDING on the number of teams registered:
Each
team may have a warm-up game followed by pool play, and then bracket play. Pool
play will consist of one or two games to twenty-five. Each team will play
at least one bracket match in their division.
All
sets will be best two out of three to twenty-five points. If a third game
is needed, it will be to fifteen points. In bracket play, if a team wins
2-0 a third game will not be played.
Times:
Tentatively, Friday, 4:00 - 9:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00AM – 6:00PM.
T-shirts:
We plan to have State Tournament t-shirts available for pre-sale orders
only. We will send out order forms soon.
Courts:
There will be four adjacent courts. Jr. Varsity and Jr. High
matches are usually played on two courts each. Varsity matches may be
played on all four courts on Saturday.
Officials:
Each court will have one IHSAA licensed official.
Awards:
Players and coaches on First and Second place teams in each division will
receive individual medallions at the tournament. Final Four qualifying
teams will receive ribbons. Graduating Seniors will be recognized!
ALL-STATE
Awards for individual Varsity players will again be given this year! The
process has been updated, and Coaches should now be considering players on both
their own team and the teams that they play for this worthy nomination.
Philosophy:
The goal is to bring as many Indiana home school teams together in an
atmosphere that is both competitive and fun. By providing multiple levels
at the same site we hope to allow teams to cheer each other on. This will
also give younger players and new programs an opportunity to see the skill
levels and teamwork that can be achieved.
