Eligible
Teams: Teams consisting of all home-schooled
students from the state of Indiana.
Each player needs to be 51% or more home-schooled. There may be circumstances that require
special consideration. To request
an exemption for your team, send a brief description of your situation to us
for review. Exceptions will be
made on a case by case basis.
Format:
(Depending on the number of teams registered)
Each team will have a warm-up
game followed by pool play and then bracket play. Pool play will consist of one
or two games to twenty-five. Each team will play at least one bracket
match in their division.
All sets will be best two out
of three to twenty-five points. If a third game is needed it will be to
fifteen points. In bracket play if a team wins 2-0 a third game will not be
played.
Times:
Tentatively, Friday, 4:00 - 9:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00AM – 6:00PM.
T-shirts:
We plan to have State Tournament t-shirts available for pre-sale orders
only. We will send out order forms soon.
Courts:
There will be four adjacent courts. Jr. Varsity and Jr. High
matches are usually played on two courts each. Varsity matches may be
played on all four courts on Saturday.
Officials:
Each court will have one IHSAA licensed official.
Awards:
Players and coaches on first and second place teams in each division will
receive individual medallions at the tournament. Final Four qualifying
teams will receive ribbons. Graduating seniors will be recognized.
ALL-STATE Awards for
individual varsity players will again be given this year. The process has
been updated. Coaches should now consider players on both their own team as
well as teams that they play for this nomination.
Philosophy:
The goal is to bring as many Indiana home
school teams together in an atmosphere that is both competitive and fun.
By providing multiple levels at the same site we hope to allow teams to
cheer each other on. This will also give younger players and new programs
an opportunity to see the skill levels and teamwork that can be achieved.
